I’d like to understand you

comprehend a man who is up in arms and hollerin’ ‘bout everything

I’d really like to know

just why you have to go

crazy over issues of our liberty

We’re lookin’ at a chance to

dialogue and improve

conditions for all of our families

But we cannot break through if all you wanna do

is wave a flag and scream all this profanity

Why would you want to; why would you think it

Why would you behave adversarily

It’s something to discuss

and talkin isn’t much

the least we can do to enact a remedy
